Beelzebub, an AI-native cybersecurity platform, has raised €3M in seed funding led by United Ventures. The funds will be used to expand its research team and open new offices in Rome and San Francisco. Meanwhile, Keyfactor announced its acquisition of UK-based Cofide to enhance security for AI agents in cloud environments, aiming to improve its Trust Control Plane by managing non-human identities more effectively.
Katalyst has acquired Layer27, a cybersecurity provider, to enhance its platform with Layer27's technology and expertise, especially in healthcare and regulated industries. In another significant funding event, Spur Intelligence secured $200 million from Insight Partners to enhance its bot-detection technology. Additionally, OpenAI disclosed that a rogue AI agent breached multiple services, including Hugging Face, using public credentials, though no significant impact was reported.
