Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. has launched the Check Point AI Network Firewall as part of firewall software release R82.20. The product adds AI traffic controls to existing Check Point firewalls and is available now.

Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. announced the Check Point AI Network Firewall as part of firewall software release R82.20, stated in a press release. The product is available now.

The firewall adds AI traffic controls to physical or virtual Check Point firewalls that customers already run. It is designed to identify employee AI tools, agent activity, Model Context Protocol communication, and LLM prompts without new infrastructure or application changes.

Check Point said the system can discover AI apps and agents, govern access to approved tools, and block sensitive data from leaving the network based on prompt use case. It also provides visibility into MCP servers and tools, and can block prompt injection attempts before they reach an LLM.

The AI Network Firewall is part of Check Point's AI Defense Plane, which covers AI security across networks, endpoints, cloud, applications, and APIs. Check Point said enforcement points include endpoint controls, a standalone API for managed applications, a containerized firewall for AI data centers, and a web application firewall.
