ADNOC signs with OpenAI and G42 as Abu Dhabi and OpenAI strike four AI agreements
ADNOC has signed an agreement with OpenAI and G42 to become the first energy company to deploy OpenAI's Frontier technology, The National reports. The technology will run on OpenAI's GPT models using inference infrastructure based in the UAE, and is meant to connect operational, investment and commercial decision making across ADNOC's operations. G42 signed through its subsidiary Inception42.
Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, met OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman on Monday and witnessed the agreement, one of four signed between Abu Dhabi entities and OpenAI across government, energy and investment.
The Abu Dhabi government and OpenAI also launched what they called the world's first AI native Machine Readable Government initiative, which converts a set of government policies and regulations into a format AI systems can read to help officials with routine compliance checks such as issuing permits. Officials keep oversight of final decisions. Led by the Department of Government Enablement, its first pilot runs with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority on food imports.
Mubadala, Inception42 and OpenAI signed an agreement to apply AI to investment analysis, opportunity identification and risk assessment, and Inception42 and OpenAI signed a five year agreement to support frontier AI adoption across government, enterprise and education in the UAE.
"Abu Dhabi and the UAE are setting a bold, global standard for AI integration across both the public and private sectors," Altman said.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
