Hush Security Raises $30 Million for AI Agent Governance

Hush Security announced in a press release that it raised $30 million in Series A funding, with Akamai Technologies joining as a strategic investor alongside existing investors Battery Ventures and YL Ventures. The round brings the company total funding to $41 million.

Hush Security provides identity and access controls for AI agents and machine identities. Its platform registers agents in a central system, removes standing credentials, grants scoped access only when needed, logs agent actions, and provides a central kill switch.

The company said its AI agent controls cover discovery, governance, and auditing. The platform can identify managed and shadow agents, map the tools and resources they access, enforce access policies, and maintain audit records for security and compliance work.

Hush Security said it will use the funding to expand engineering and sales teams, especially in the United States. It also plans to add support for enterprise identity systems, build deeper integrations with enterprise AI platforms, and expand partnerships.
