NARMA Launches PXN Flight Control Software for U.S. Drone Makers

NARMA has launched PXN in the U.S., a security hardened flight control software platform built for drone manufacturers, integrators, and enterprise operators.

NARMA has launched PXN in the U.S., a security hardened, PX4 compatible flight control software platform for drone manufacturers, system integrators, and enterprise operators, the company said in a press release.

PXN is derived from PX4 and has undergone static and dynamic code analysis to find and fix known vulnerabilities, software defects, and reliability issues. NARMA said the platform keeps compatibility with existing ground control software, operator workflows, and supported hardware.

PXN is offered as licensable software for drone OEMs, airframe manufacturers, payload integrators, and UAS developers focused on government use. The company said it works with customers on hardware integration, software hardening, system validation, and certification oriented processes.

NARMA is also preparing PXN as a Part 108 Ready flight control and safety software platform. The work includes Detect and Avoid features for Beyond Visual Line of Sight operations, including a landing safety feature that aborts an autonomous landing when a person is detected in the landing zone.
