Logic Fruit Unveils Reconfigurable BMC Platform for AI Servers
In a press release, Logic Fruit Technologies unveiled L-Nex, a family of FPGA based baseboard management controller products for AI and data center servers. The platform supports Open Compute Project DC-SCM 2.x systems and runs OpenBMC.
L-Nex combines a management processor, host interfaces, remote KVM, telemetry, and a hardware root of trust in one reconfigurable FPGA SoC. Server makers can configure interfaces, telemetry, and security functions during system design, then update them through authenticated software and FPGA bitstream releases after deployment.
The platform supports Redfish, IPMI, PLDM/MCTP, and SPDM. Its security capabilities include secure and measured boot, attestation, firmware recovery, and a path to post quantum cryptography. Early access telemetry features cover thermal anomalies, fan failure prediction, and power trends.
L-Nex remains in development, with production readiness planned for the third quarter of 2027. Logic Fruit is accepting OEMs, manufacturers, hyperscalers, and infrastructure operators into an early evaluation and design partner program.
