Finnish startup Vensum Power raised a €9 million Series A to begin manufacturing its software controlled power converters and reach volume production by 2027.

Vensum Power raised a €9 million Series A to start manufacturing its power converters and move into mass production, according to Tech Funding News. The round was co-led by Lifeline Ventures, Larsen & Toubro and Eviny Ventures.

The Finnish startup uses software to control electricity conversion and reduce energy lost as heat. In a 2024 Aalto University interview, CEO Peter Nisula estimated losses of 3% to 5% with its technology, compared with 7% to 10% for conventional converters.

The company plans to first supply products for electric vehicle charging, energy storage and direct current microgrids. It will then target AI data centres, including facilities based on Nvidia's planned 800V power architecture. The round brings its total funding to €15.2 million, with revenue expected in 2027.
