Nauticus Robotics to Acquire SeaTrepid International
Nauticus Robotics, Inc. has announced its intent to acquire SeaTrepid International, as stated in a press release. This acquisition aims to integrate Nauticus' AI-driven autonomy software, ToolKITT, with SeaTrepid's existing ROV fleet, enhancing power efficiency and operational performance.
The acquisition is expected to be completed by May 2025, with John Gibson continuing as CEO and President of the combined company. SeaTrepid's CEO, Bob Christ, will become President of SeaTrepid Operations. The companies plan to maintain their current locations and workforces, anticipating new project growth throughout 2025.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including creditor consent. Nauticus plans to provide additional strategic details in an upcoming fireside chat, with registration details to be announced on their website.
