This edition covers a set of AI and robotics developments spanning autonomous transport, surgical systems, and hardware for deploying AI in the physical world. Anthropic introduced its Model Hardware Standard in research preview for connecting Claude with robots and lab equipment, while Amap, part of Alibaba, released ABot-Recon, a 3D reconstruction model designed to work from 12 frames.

Autoware Foundation and Renesas Electronics are working on autonomous-driving AI from L2 driver assistance through L4 robotaxis, and HUMAIN and Applied Intuition announced plans for an autonomous trucking network in Saudi Arabia. Also in the sector, Enovis Corporation made a binding offer to acquire eCential Robotics, while SoftBank Group is reportedly discussing a majority stake in humanoid robot maker 1X Technologies.
Autoware Foundation and Renesas Partner on Autonomous Driving AI
Autoware Foundation and Renesas Electronics have announced a collaboration to develop pre-integrated ADAS and autonomous-driving systems.
