Autoware Foundation Partners With Renesas on AI Driving Software
Autoware Foundation announced in a press release that Renesas Electronics has joined the foundation at its highest membership tier.
The partnership brings Autoware's open source end to end AI driving software to Renesas R-Car system on chip platforms and RoX software platforms.
The companies said the work will provide pre integrated systems for automotive OEMs. The software is intended to support entry level L2 driver assistance and scale to L2++ hands free autopilot and L4 driverless robotaxis.
OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers will be able to retrain, tune, and customize the AI stack for specific vehicles and use cases, with deployment on Renesas R-Car chips.
