TIER IV and the Technical University of Munich will integrate NVIDIA Hyperion and Halos into Autoware projects for Level 4 autonomous driving in Germany.

TIER IV and the Technical University of Munich will integrate NVIDIA Hyperion and the NVIDIA Halos safety system into Autoware projects across Germany, the partners said in a press release. The collaboration covers Level 4 autonomous vehicles and robotaxis.

The work builds on the TUM Autoware Research Center that TIER IV recently established. Researchers will combine Autoware software with Hyperion configurations that use two NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor computing systems.

The partners will use the platform to build, test and validate autonomous driving systems on German roads. Planned applications include autonomous public transportation and robotaxis.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
