Aitan Raises $41 Million for Robotic Defense Systems

Aitan emerged from stealth and raised $41 million in a financing round co led by Deep33 and Dell Technologies Capital, the company announced in a press release. The round included participation from Gokul Rajaram, Benjamin Ling of Bling Capital, and Kevin Weil of Scribble Ventures.

The financing brings Aitan's total capital raised to $54 million. The company said it will use the money for product development, international expansion, and hiring.

Aitan develops edge AI robotic weapon systems for allied militaries and national security organizations. It said its systems are deployed across the IDF and Israeli national security agencies, with more than 500,000 combat hours logged across robotic combat missions.

The company was founded by Udi Oster and Daniel Almog, former officers in Unit 8200 and the founders of Tapingo, which was later acquired by Grubhub. Aitan also said it recently secured a joint contract to develop the command and control platform for the IDF's next generation attack drone fleet.
