YFORE Shows UWB Radar Sensing for Vehicle Cabins, Access, and Parking
YFORE Technology showcased a UWB radar sensing portfolio at its Suwanee, Georgia facility, the company announced in a press release.
The cabin monitoring system uses pulse signals to detect small breathing movements for child presence detection. YFORE said the system has a life detection rate above 99%, keeps signal leakage through windows under 20 cm, and meets the Euro NCAP response time requirement of less than 13 seconds.
The portfolio also includes occupant detection for passenger counts in emergency eCall response and an occupant and driver monitoring system that combines radar with smart vision mirrors. For exterior use, YFORE showed kick sensing access, intrusion detection, and a low power sentry mode that wakes cameras only when proximity radar detects activity.
YFORE also presented a bumper integrated UWB parking assistance system. The system identifies parallel, perpendicular, and angled parking spaces, detects low profile obstacles, and works behind bumper panels without conventional ultrasonic sensor cutouts.
