IFA 2026 brings a wide range of home and service robots, including new systems from DJI, Narwal, Pudu Robotics, TCL and Tuya Smart. Elsewhere, NHTSA reviews Tesla's certification of about 1,000 Cybercabs, Motional releases a driving dataset, and companies report new work in autonomous aircraft, maritime systems, wildfire response and logistics.

ANTHBOT R7 Series wins 12 IFA 2026 honors
ANTHBOT says its R7 Series robotic mower received 12 industry and media honors at IFA 2026, including an IFA Innovation Award. The mower's EdgeEase robotic arm is designed to trim along walls and fences, while its navigation system combines cameras, LiDAR, infrared thermal detection and six motor all wheel drive. Read more

Vention opens a Montreal lab to develop AI systems for robotic manipulation in manufacturing, led by Dr. Jimmy Li and advised by Cohere Chief AI Officer Dr. Joelle Pineau. Lyte, a Sunnyvale physical AI company, raises $165 million in Series C funding led by Maverick Silicon, valuing the company at $1.6 billion. Iwa Robotics introduces HAWK, CANARY, and PELICAN, an autonomous drone fleet designed to detect, assess and help suppress wildfires near urban areas.
