Amap Unveils ABot-Earth 0.7 for 3D Street View

Amap unveiled ABot-Earth 0.7 to power an upgraded version of Flying Street View. The model generates interactive 3D urban scenes across more than 196 countries and regions.

Amap unveiled ABot-Earth 0.7 to power Flying Street View 2.0, the company said in a press release. It is the successor to ABot-Earth0.5, which Amap introduced in June for large scale 3D city modelling, and Amap again describes the system as a native 3D urban world model.

ABot-Earth 0.7 covers more than 196 countries and regions using Amap's mapping and location data. The company says it can generate a kilometer scale urban scene in about 10 minutes on a single consumer grade GPU. Flying Street View 2.0 lets users explore those spaces continuously rather than along fixed routes.

Amap also described Navigation Live, which uses natural conversation and a smartphone camera to interpret nearby buildings, attractions, businesses and environmental information. The company says its spatial capabilities run across smartphones, vehicle systems, robots, smartwatches and smart glasses.
