Hyper3D Launches WorldGen for Editable 3D Scenes

WorldGen converts a single image into a 3D scene with separate objects that users can edit, replace and reposition.

Hyper3D announced in a press release the launch of WorldGen, a model that converts a single image into a 3D scene with separate, editable objects. Users can let the model identify objects automatically or select them with bounding boxes, then edit, replace or reposition the generated assets.

WorldGen generates object geometry, estimates hidden shapes and models spatial relationships such as contact, support and suspension. It also estimates properties including position, scale, orientation, collision geometry, mass and friction. The system uses mesh assets generated by Hyper3D Rodin for editable objects and 3D Gaussian splatting for background environments.

Generated scenes can be exported to Blender, Unity, PlayCanvas, Unreal Engine and Tuanjie Engine. Hyper3D positions WorldGen for robotics simulation, filmmaking, game development, spatial computing and extended reality, with support for NVIDIA Isaac Sim workflows and devices including Apple Vision Pro.
