Hi3D Releases V1.0 3D Model as Open Source
Hi3D released the source code and model weights for Hi3D V1.0, formerly called Sparc3D, as detailed in a company announcement. Developers can download the model or generate 3D models through the Hi3D website.
Hi3D expanded the training data from about 500,000 to two million curated 3D assets. The model supports progressive geometry reconstruction at an effective sparse grid resolution of up to 1536 cubed, with a reported 90% slicing success rate.
Hi3D says enterprises and developers can explore private deployment and integrate the model into existing workflows under the applicable license. Hi3D lists 3D printing, ecommerce, industrial design, virtual reality, animation and film among the supported uses.
