OpenAI President Greg Brockman says enterprise sales now generate most of the company’s revenue and that it could be ready for an IPO in 2027.

OpenAI now generates the majority of its revenue from enterprise sales, President Greg Brockman said on November 4, 2026, Reuters reports. Speaking at a Wall Street Journal technology conference in Napa, California, he was asked whether OpenAI will be ready for an IPO next year and said, "I think so."

Brockman said OpenAI has been ramping up sales to businesses, including by pushing its Codex agent, in competition with Anthropic, which Reuters says is likely to go public before the end of the year. OpenAI has been racing to raise more capital after delaying its IPO plans, according to Reuters.
