Mindmax raises £2.5 million for AI exam tutor
Mindmax raised £2.5 million in a venture funding round led by Concept Ventures, reports Tech.eu. Redrice Ventures, Daybreak Ventures and Lerer Hippeau participated, alongside angel investors including former Depop CEO Maria Raga and Helsing cofounder Torsten Reil.
The startup is developing an AI tutor for professional exam preparation and skills training. Users can ask questions, interrupt explanations and direct lessons toward difficult topics during real time conversations. The platform also provides visual explanations and adapts sessions to each user's existing knowledge and learning goals.
Mindmax was founded by Ed Cooke and Daniel Zohar, who previously worked on language learning platform Memrise. The company says it plans to keep developing its AI models to support more personalized learning.
