BNP Paribas expands its work with Google Cloud to use agentic AI in banking workflows, while Deutsche Bank Private Bank deploys an agentic tool for know your customer checks in Singapore and Hong Kong. Banks and fintechs are also introducing controlled AI access to financial data: Form3 offers read-only payment data access, and Wingspan launches a beta connection for AI assistants while keeping payment approval and execution within its platform.

Adlib Software agrees to acquire Paperbox, combining AI based insurance intake and workflow tools with governed, auditable data management. The deal targets insurers, MGAs and TPAs seeking to reduce manual triage and improve data traceability, subject to closing conditions. Read more
Invesco survey finds 97% of US retirement savers want AI limits
A survey by Invesco and Ipsos finds US defined contribution plan participants support AI for tasks such as portfolio monitoring and risk assessment, while seeking human involvement in financial planning. Nearly all respondents want boundaries on AI investment decisions, and 65% expressed interest in target date funds that include modest private market allocations. Read more

CLPS completes AI anti money laundering project in Hong Kong sandbox
CLPS Incorporation completed a generative AI assisted anti money laundering project for a Chinese commercial bank in Hong Kong's regulatory AI sandbox. A fine tuned open source language model produced risk ratings with more than 90 percent accuracy, while human experts made final decisions in complex cases. Read more
