Paywhere launches a programmable banking platform that lets banks and credit unions provide services through ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and other AI tools.

Paywhere announced in a press release the commercial availability of its programmable banking platform. It lets banks and credit unions provide services through AI assistants and agents such as ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot.

Financial institutions can retain their brand, accounts, customer permissions and controls. The platform works alongside existing core, digital and banking systems, while allowing institutions to define permitted actions and monitor interactions without building an AI system internally.

Paywhere is initially focusing on small business banking. The company demonstrated the platform at FinovateFall in New York on September 10, 2026.
