Mollie Plans Banking Platform for AI Agents

Oct 14, 2026
Mollie is creating a platform that will let customers run AI agents on its payment and banking systems. It is offering up to €50 million in company equity to recruit a founding team.

Mollie plans to build a platform and banking layer that lets customers run AI agents directly on its payment and banking systems, the company said in an announcement. It is recruiting a founding team or considering the acquisition of an early stage startup team rather than assigning the project to an internal product department.

Mollie is offering the team up to €50 million in company equity. The equity will be awarded in tiers based on operational and commercial milestones.

The team will control the platform's architecture, roadmap and commercial strategy in a ring fenced structure. It will have access to Mollie's regulated banking systems, technology infrastructure and distribution network of more than 350,000 businesses. Applications are open.

The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
