Tutor Intelligence raises $75 million to expand robot model training
Tutor Intelligence raised a $75 million Series B led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), bringing its total funding to $117 million, the company announced in a press release. Union Square Ventures and Neo also participated.
The company will use the funding to train robot foundation models and manufacture and deploy its Sonny and Cassie robots. The robots work in manufacturing and logistics facilities, with remote human operators providing input as they complete tasks and generate training data.
Tutor Intelligence sells robot work by the hour or by each item picked, without requiring customers to buy the machines. It handles deployment, maintenance and software updates. The company says its robots operate in nearly four times as many facilities as a year ago, and it expects to have more than 1,000 robots under contract by the end of 2027.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
