Relativity Networks Secures $6M to Advance Fiber-Optic Technology

Relativity Networks has raised $6 million in seed funding to enhance its hollow-core fiber technology for data centers, bringing its total funding to $10.6 million.

Relativity Networks has secured $6 million in seed funding to further develop its next-generation fiber-optic technology, bringing its total funding to $10.6 million. This funding round, which was oversubscribed, includes investments from Prysmian, GOVO Venture Partners, and other investors. The company aims to address the growing demand for high-speed data transmission in AI-powered data centers, announced in a press release.

The funding will support the production and delivery of hollow-core fiber (HCF) cables, which are crucial for reducing latency and improving energy efficiency in data centers. Relativity Networks' HCF technology allows data to travel nearly 50% faster and 1.5 times farther than traditional fiber optics, enabling data centers to be located closer to power sources.

This investment follows Relativity Networks' emergence from stealth earlier this year with a $4.6 million pre-seed round and a long-term partnership with Prysmian to scale the production of its fiber-optic cables. The company's technology is designed to meet the increasing computational demands of the AI economy by providing a robust infrastructure backbone for data centers.
