
Vantage Data Centers Invests $3 Billion in Nevada AI Campus
Vantage Data Centers has announced a significant investment of $3 billion to develop a 224-megawatt AI-ready data center campus in Storey County, Nevada, announced in a press release. This new facility, named NV1, represents Vantage's first venture into Nevada and its eighth market in North America.
The NV1 campus will cover approximately 137 acres and include four multi-story data centers with over one million square feet of floor space. The first building is expected to be operational by the second quarter of 2026, with two buildings already fully leased. The campus is designed to support advanced AI workloads, offering power densities from 360 to over 720 watts per square foot and accommodating both traditional air-cooled and advanced liquid-cooled GPU deployments.
Sustainability is a key focus for the NV1 project, which will feature a closed-loop chiller system to minimize water usage and is expected to achieve LEED certification. The development is anticipated to create over 1,200 jobs during construction and ongoing operations, contributing to the local economy and reinforcing the region's status as a technology hub.
