Hyperscale Data Plans 340 MW AI Data Center Expansion in Michigan

Hyperscale Data, Inc. has announced a strategic plan to expand its Michigan data center campus to 340 MW by 2029, according to a press release. The expansion will support AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing workloads.

Hyperscale Data, Inc. has announced a strategic plan to expand its Michigan data center campus to 340 megawatts (MW) by 2029, announced in a press release. The phased expansion aims to support artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and high-performance computing workloads.

Currently, the Michigan facility operates at approximately 30 MW, with plans to increase capacity to 70 MW over the next 20 months. The full 340 MW buildout is expected to be completed within 44 months following an agreement with the local utility provider and securing necessary funding.

To facilitate this expansion and other strategic initiatives, Hyperscale Data has filed a shelf registration statement for up to $125 million. This provides the company with financial flexibility, although there are no immediate plans to raise capital under this registration.

The Michigan data center, located on a 34-acre site, currently generates revenue through digital asset mining and offers colocation and hosting services for emerging AI ecosystems and other industries. The expansion plan aligns with the growing demand for high-density compute infrastructure in the AI sector.
