Irys Raises $12.5 Million to Expand AI-Native Insurance Platform
Irys has raised $12.5 million in a seed funding round led by Markd, with participation from Deepwork Capital, Florida Opportunity Fund, Ansay & Associates, HICO Ventures, and JMG Capital, announced in a press release. The funding will be used to grow engineering teams, accelerate implementation, and expand distribution partnerships across the U.S. and Canada.
Irys offers an AI-native, integration-agnostic operating system designed to replace outdated insurance platforms. The system unifies financial, operational, and client data in real time and supports automation across tools and AI systems. It currently serves several major brokerages and managing general agents representing nearly $1 billion in active written premiums.
The company plans to introduce new AI-driven modules for accounting, analytics, and submission management in early 2026. With its open APIs and decentralized backend, Irys aims to serve as the operational backbone for modern insurance enterprises.
