Harvey and Legora hold early talks with advisers about potential IPOs
Harvey has talked to advisers about a potential stock market listing, and Artificial Lawyer's sources confirm the discussions happened and are ongoing, the legal tech site reported. It says rival Legora is doing the same, discussing what a future IPO could look like, including valuations, timelines and the main backers for a listing.
Asked about an IPO, a Legora spokesperson said the company does not comment on speculation and that CEO Max Junestrand "has always said he'd like to take Legora public one day, but it's too soon to say when."
Artificial Lawyer sees Anthropic's planned IPO as a test case: if it goes well, the site expects that to be a green light for legal AI listings. It also points to a possible correction in AI company valuations and to Microsoft, Google, OpenAI and Anthropic moving into legal work as reasons the two companies may be planning ahead.
Talking to banks does not mean a listing is close. Neither company has given a timetable.
