This week, AI driven robotics activity spans homes, warehouses, factories and freight networks. E-Home Household Service Holdings starts an AI household robot project in China, while Barrett Distribution Centers plans a 2027 deployment of UNIT AI's platform across its warehouse network. FANUC America will show a Google Cloud Gemini Enterprise powered kitting system at FABTECH 2026, and Coco Robotics and Deliveroo plan to begin robot food deliveries in London.

Volvo Autonomous Solutions and Waabi have begun autonomous freight operations between Dallas and Houston for Warp, while Parallel Systems raised more than $100 million to scale autonomous freight rail. Funding, safety and infrastructure also feature, with SafeWorld raising $12.2 million for robot safety simulation software, RobCo reaching a valuation above $1 billion, and Techman Robot receiving a cybersecurity certification for its connected cobots.
E-Home launches AI household service robot project in China
E-Home Household Service Holdings launches a project to develop an AI service robot for home cleaning and eldercare in China. The company plans pilot tests at selected franchise outlets and eldercare communities after development. Read more

Agility Robotics CEO Peggy Johnson will serve as an individual consultant to MITRE-led Project Meridian, a Department of War study on future defense technologies and capabilities.
