Robot.com Adds Gregory D. Smith as Board Observer
Robot.com announced in a press release the appointment of Gregory D. Smith as an observer to its board of directors. Smith currently serves as Chairman of American Airlines' board and is the co-founder of G2 Equity Partners.
Smith previously held senior leadership roles at Boeing, where he served as Executive Vice President of Enterprise Operations and Chief Financial Officer for ten years. His responsibilities included overseeing financial operations, enterprise strategy, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and program management. He also managed Boeing Capital's corporate audit function and environmental, social, and governance initiatives.
Smith co-founded G2 Equity Partners, which invests in companies that build operational infrastructure for large enterprises. He also serves on the boards of Intel, Sierra Space, ShieldAI, Ignium, and American Airlines. His experience aligns with Robot.com's focus on scaling its autonomous robot operations, which now exceed 2.5 million completed tasks.
Robot.com operates more than 500 autonomous robots across the United States, Canada, Dubai, and MENA, providing services for campus delivery, warehouse logistics, and digital advertising. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in San Francisco, the company partners with enterprise operators including Sodexo and GXO.
