Generative Bionics Introduces Gene.01 Smart Humanoid Platform
Generative Bionics has introduced Gene.01, a fully functional humanoid robot platform announced in a press release. Built in six months, Gene.01 combines full body tactile sensing with physics native AI, integrating mechanical and cognitive components to interpret and respond to the physical world.
The company is working with Fincantieri to adapt the platform for its first industrial use in shipyard operations. Gene.01’s robot model will be open sourced to support developers of Physical AI in building custom applications.
The platform includes a multimodal sensing system capable of detecting touch, temperature, proximity, and force, making interaction safer for human collaboration. It also allows users to teach tasks by physically demonstrating movements and required force, expanding training capabilities beyond visual input.
Gene.01 will make its United States debut at AMD Advancing AI 2026, scheduled for July 22 to 23, 2026.
