Elite Robots Partners with Generalist AI on GEN-1 Embodied Model
Elite Robots and Generalist AI have partnered on the development of GEN-1, an embodied foundation model for robotics that achieves a 99 percent task success rate and operates three times faster than prior systems, announced in a press release.
The collaboration used Elite Robots' cobot platform to support real world data collection and algorithm validation. The project demonstrated more than 1,800 block stackings and 200 box foldings without intervention. The platform delivered 100,000-hour mean time between failures and a repeatability margin of ±0.02 millimeters.
Tests showed that GEN-1 benefited from smooth servo control for stable physical interactions and trajectory acceleration. The system also included adaptive force feedback and full 360-degree motion range, enabling it to correct unexpected execution errors in real time.
Elite Robots provided global support through a continuous technical service network and its US-based team, facilitating ongoing research and deployment. Generalist AI, founded by former DeepMind researchers and backed by NVIDIA NVentures, described GEN-1 as a key step toward general intelligence in robotics.
