Qaelon Medical and Scialytics Partner on AI Surgical Data Integration
Qaelon Medical and Scialytics have announced a strategic partnership to integrate Qaelon's physiologic gastrointestinal data into Scialytics' AI surgical analytics system, according to a press release.
The collaboration focuses on colorectal surgery, where anastomotic leaks remain a major complication. Qaelon's technology converts traditional visual air leak tests into objective digital signals, while Scialytics' platform analyzes surgical performance through video and AI-based assessment. Combining these data types aims to provide real time verification of tissue integrity and continuous evaluation of surgical technique.
Qaelon plans to use this partnership as part of a broader effort to build an open gastrointestinal data ecosystem that spans preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care. The company’s Objective Performance Indicator will serve as a quantifiable measure of gastrointestinal integrity during surgery. Scialytics’ integration of this data expands its ability to model surgical risk and outcomes.
Both companies are based in Strasbourg, France, and are developing technologies that remain under regulatory review and are not yet available for commercial use in the United States or Europe.
