athenahealth Connects Patient Health Records to Claude
athenahealth launched athenaPatient MCP, a server that connects patient health records to Claude from Anthropic, the company said in a press release. Claude Pro and Max users in the US can add the connector through their Claude settings starting 2 November.
The server uses Model Context Protocol to retrieve electronic health record information at a patient's request. Claude can reference lab results, vital signs, medications, health conditions, immunizations, visit history, diagnostic reports, allergies, procedures, and care plans when answering questions.
Patients authenticate with their athenahealth credentials and choose which information to share. They can revoke access at any time. athenahealth cited an August 2026 Pew Research Center survey in which 34% of US adults said they had used AI assistants for health purposes. "athenahealth is giving patients a way to bring their own records into Claude when they choose to," said Syed Mohiuddin, head of healthcare at Anthropic.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
