Hippocratic AI Releases Polaris 6 Ultra for Healthcare Voice Agents
Hippocratic AI announces Polaris 6 Ultra, a healthcare language model for voice agents, in a press release. The company says the model was trained using more than 323 million patient conversations.
Polaris 6 Ultra generates a private planning step for each sentence while the previous sentence is playing. It uses the conversation to assess the patient response and select what to say next. The plans are recorded alongside the transcript in a safety portal for clinician review.
The release also adds a voice system that controls pauses, breathing, tempo and other speech features. Its clinical speech recognition model uses the conversation and patient chart to identify medications, symptoms, names and numbers in unclear audio.
The model uses a 671 billion parameter primary model with 30 specialist supervisors and 142 production monitors, totaling 7.4 trillion parameters. Hippocratic AI says it is 1.3 times faster than Polaris 5 and begins its first sentence in about 0.28 seconds. Polaris 6 is available in Ultra, Pro, Flash and Nano versions for clinical, support and administrative uses.
