PsiBot's R1 Model Advances Embodied AI with Mahjong-Playing Robots
PsiBot has introduced its R1 model, a groundbreaking advancement in embodied AI, capable of performing complex tasks such as playing Mahjong with humans. Announced in a press release, the R1 model showcases PsiBot's hierarchical end-to-end architecture, which integrates a planner and a controller to execute long-horizon dexterous manipulation.
The R1 model operates at an L3 level of complexity, utilizing an autonomous reasoning system based on Chain of Action Thought (CoAT). This allows the robots to understand their environment, make decisions, and adapt to new tasks, essential skills for real-world deployment. The model's ability to play Mahjong—a strategic game requiring precise manipulation and long-term planning—demonstrates its advanced capabilities.
