Point Wild Acquires Funambol to Expand Cloud Infrastructure and Telecom Partnerships

Point Wild has acquired Funambol to strengthen its cloud infrastructure and extend its partnerships in the telecommunications sector. Funambol’s personal cloud technology will be integrated into Point Wild’s Lat61 cybersecurity platform.

Point Wild announced in a press release its acquisition of Funambol, a provider of personal cloud solutions for secure data storage and synchronization across devices. The acquisition aims to strengthen Point Wild’s cloud infrastructure and expand its partnerships in the telecommunications sector.

Funambol’s technology will be integrated into Lat61, Point Wild’s AI powered cybersecurity platform that unifies its security tools in one system. The integration will add capabilities for secure data ownership and control while connecting Point Wild’s offerings to an API enabled backend that supports partner ecosystems.

Funambol brings an established presence in the global telecom market, including a long term relationship with a major telecom provider. Its white label architecture allows telecom and financial partners to embed secure cloud and data features into their services. Funambol will continue operating under its existing leadership while gaining access to the Lat61 platform’s scale and automation.
