Fulcrum and Slalom Partner on AI for Utility Field Operations
Fulcrum and Slalom are working together on AI tools and services for utility field operations, the companies announced in a press release. The work will help electric, gas and water utilities identify AI uses, connect field data with business systems and measure results.
Fulcrum provides a platform for running and recording fieldwork. Its tools can convert spoken observations into structured form entries, answer plain language questions about field records and generate workflow applications from user descriptions. Slalom will help utilities select use cases and integrate these capabilities into field and office processes.
The companies will also connect validated field records with analytics and predictive models for tasks such as asset maintenance, inventory tracking and vegetation management. Slalom's AI Value Platform will assess potential use cases, estimate their value and compare actual results with forecasts after deployment.
