OTCX has announced a multi-year partnership with BlackRock's Aladdin platform to digitize over-the-counter (OTC) derivative trading. Announced in a press release, this collaboration aims to transform the traditionally manual, voice-based workflows in complex derivatives trading by providing more electronic trading options.

The integration of OTCX's execution venues into the Aladdin platform will offer clients enhanced efficiency, transparency, and cost-effectiveness in price discovery, risk management, and trade execution across a wide range of OTC derivatives. This partnership is set to provide end-to-end workflow support, from price discovery to post-trade processing, thereby addressing long-standing industry challenges.

Nicolas Koechlin, CEO of OTCX, highlighted the significance of this integration as a pivotal step for both OTCX and the broader OTC derivatives market. The collaboration is expected to accelerate the industry's shift from manual voice trading to seamless digital execution, delivering transformative value for buy-side firms and dealers globally.
