Nums AI raised $1.5 million in the second closing of its preseed round, bringing its cumulative funding to $4.6 million, according to WowTale. Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Korea Investment Partners each contributed about $760,000.

The Seoul startup also secured $600,000 in research funding through South Korea's TIPS startup support program. It plans to use the capital to develop its tabular data models and hire staff.

Nums AI develops Causilo, a foundation model that makes predictions from data arranged in rows and columns, including transaction histories, sales records and customer information. The company released the model's code and pretrained weights publicly, while commercial use requires a separate license.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
