Vectorial raised $3 million in seed funding for a platform that simulates consumer behavior and provides feedback to product and marketing teams.

Vectorial raised $3 million in seed funding for its consumer research platform, according to SiliconANGLE. Smilegate and SenseAI Ventures led the round, with participation from funds connected to the University of California at Berkeley and Stanford University, plus angel investors from Meta, Mastercard and Shopify.

Vectorial simulates thousands of consumers within selected demographic groups to test products and marketing ideas. Its SAPIENS behavior model draws on data covering more than 2.5 million consumers and updates its simulated audiences as trends and behavior change.

The company says comparisons with studies involving real users produced about 86% accuracy. GoodRx, Boat, Everkind and Concrete Software use the platform, with customers running an average of 600 simulations each month.

Vectorial will use the funding to expand its behavioral dataset and develop SAPIENS 2.0.
