NanoForge AI raised $11 million in seed funding led by Mirae Asset Venture Investment, according to WowTale. Existing investors Futureplay and Mashup Ventures participated, alongside new investors DSC Investment, Korea Development Bank and Ecopro Partners.

The South Korean startup develops AI models that predict material properties at the atomic and electronic levels. It uses the technology to identify candidates for semiconductors and batteries before physical testing, and is working with Ecopro BM on battery materials.

NanoForge AI will use the funding to develop its electronic structure prediction technology and build an autonomous lab where robots synthesize and analyze materials. Experimental results will feed back into its AI training process. The company also appointed KAIST mechanical engineering professor Seunghwa Yu as a technical adviser.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
