Microsoft and Mistral Expand Partnership to Boost AI Infrastructure in Europe
Microsoft and Mistral AI have expanded their strategic partnership to strengthen artificial intelligence infrastructure and model integration across Europe, announced in a press release.
The agreement includes a significant investment from Microsoft to use Mistral’s GPU infrastructure in Europe. This will increase computing capacity for AI research and development while supporting Microsoft’s cloud and AI services. Mistral is expanding its computing operations across the region as part of the collaboration.
Microsoft will also integrate Mistral’s models into its products. Mistral Medium 3.5 and OCR 4 are now available on Microsoft Foundry, and Mistral Medium 3.5 has been added to Microsoft Copilot Studio. These integrations make Mistral’s efficient multilingual models accessible for developers to create and manage custom AI applications.
The partnership also enables enterprises to deploy Mistral models through Azure with flexible options, including cloud, connected, or offline environments, giving organizations greater control over data, operations, and business continuity.
