Lucend Raises $3.3M to Expand Transparent AI Platform for Data Centers
Lucend, formerly known as Coolgradient, has raised $3.3 million in seed funding led by Remarkable Ventures Climate to expand its Transparent AI platform for data centers in the United States, announced in a press release.
The Transparent AI platform connects to existing infrastructure without requiring new hardware and analyzes billions of sensor readings daily to provide actionable recommendations for improving efficiency and reliability. The system uses a human-in-the-loop approach, allowing operators to review and implement AI-driven insights while maintaining oversight.
Lucend’s technology has been deployed across facilities in cities including Melbourne, Singapore, Paris, London, Amsterdam, and Chicago. Customers have reported up to a 40% reduction in power use effectiveness, 25% reduction in power use, and 30% reduction in water consumption.
The company plans to use the new funding to scale operations, sales, and support in the U.S., where more than half of the world’s data centers are located. Mitsubishi Electric Innovation Fund, New Climate Ventures, Avesta, and Stepchange also participated in the round, with continued support from 4impact capital.
