viAct, a Hong Kong-based AI startup, has raised $7.3 million in a Series A funding round led by Venturewave Capital, with participation from Singtel Innov8, Korea Investment Partners, and PolyU Entrepreneurship Investment Fund. The funding will be used to advance viAct's AI capabilities for hazard prediction, environmental compliance, and workforce safety, as well as to expand its presence in the Middle East and Europe.
viAct has developed an AI-powered monitoring platform that provides real-time insights and predictive analytics to enhance safety and efficiency across construction projects and other high-risk industries. The company aims to transform traditional site monitoring by offering automated interventions to prevent hazards before they occur.
The investment will also support viAct's efforts to grow its team, focusing on attracting top talent in AI, engineering, and sustainability. This expansion aligns with the increasing demand for AI-driven safety solutions in regions like the Middle East, where infrastructure development is rapidly advancing.
