IdentifAI Secures €5M to Expand Deepfake Detection Technology
IdentifAI has raised €5 million in a funding round led by United Ventures. This investment will support the company's expansion into key European markets and the United States, as well as the continued development of its proprietary deepfake detection technology.
Founded by cybersecurity experts Marco Ramilli and Marco Castaldo, IdentifAI has developed an advanced AI platform capable of determining whether content such as images, videos, or voice recordings have been created or manipulated using generative AI. The platform aims to address the growing challenge of AI-generated disinformation.
The new funding will also accelerate research and development efforts to enhance the accuracy and performance of IdentifAI's detection models. The company is already in discussions with industry partners globally to validate and scale the adoption of its technology.
As the global AI market is projected to grow significantly over the next decade, the demand for reliable media verification tools like those developed by IdentifAI is expected to increase. The company aims to preserve the authenticity of human expression in a digital world where the line between real and artificial is increasingly blurred.
