TileDB Rebrands as Tile.ai and Names George Llado CEO
TileDB has rebranded as Tile.ai and appointed George Llado as CEO, the company announced in a press release. It also introduced the Enterprise AI Data Substrate, a governed layer designed to make data from multiple applications and sources securely available to enterprise AI agents.
The product is in private preview with design partners in regulated industries. Companies can request early access through Tile.ai.
Llado previously served as chief information officer at Merck and Alexion Pharmaceuticals and joined the TileDB board in 2024. Founder Stavros Papadopoulos will serve as chief product officer.
Tile.ai also secured an undisclosed strategic investment led by existing investor Two Bear Capital, with participation from Amgen Ventures. The company will continue maintaining its open source array engine under the TileDB name.
