Sopra Steria and Red Hat Extend Collaboration for Sovereign Embedded AI
Sopra Steria has expanded its collaboration with Red Hat to industrialize sovereign embedded AI across hybrid cloud and field environments, announced in a press release. The initiative was unveiled at Eurosatory and focuses on deploying AI in sectors such as defense, public services, and critical infrastructure where connectivity can be limited.
The collaboration integrates Red Hat’s open technologies, including OpenShift AI for model training and lifecycle management, Device Edge for lightweight deployment on constrained equipment, and Edge Manager for automated maintenance across distributed devices. Sopra Steria will secure and operate these technologies as deployable systems for field use.
The joint solution aims to bring the entire AI lifecycle into a unified hybrid cloud environment. It supports use cases such as anomaly detection and predictive routing in transport networks, local diagnostics in public terminals, and distributed inference in low power communication systems. At the center of the partnership is an automated AI factory pipeline built on Red Hat’s hybrid cloud stack, designed to deliver operational continuity and local data control in disconnected conditions.
