Teradyne Robotics and Sereact are partnering to deploy the Cortex physical AI platform on Universal Robots arms for logistics, retail and manufacturing tasks.

Teradyne Robotics and Sereact are partnering to deploy industrial AI systems for retail, logistics and manufacturing, according to Unite.AI. Sereact's Cortex platform controls arms from Universal Robots for tasks involving mixed goods, unknown items and varied packaging.

The companies said hundreds of Universal Robots arms have already shipped in two arm systems to customer sites across Europe. Applications include returns handling, store replenishment, piece picking, sorting, machine tending, bin consolidation, kitting and packing.

Cortex is operating at CEVA Logistics sites for Zalando in Greven, Germany, and Świebodzin, Poland, where robots identify, grasp and sort returned fashion items. Sereact and Teradyne Robotics are also demonstrating the system at NVIDIA GTC Berlin using two UR12e-1300 arms.

Cortex is trained in NVIDIA Isaac Sim with Cosmos world models and reinforcement learning through Isaac Lab. It runs on NVIDIA Jetson Thor for robot cell inference, while DGX Spark supports site level development, validation and model updates.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
