Piraeus Bank has launched a new AI Hub in partnership with Accenture and Anthropic to unify its artificial intelligence capabilities across operations, customer service, risk, and compliance, aiming to modernize its technology infrastructure and banking processes.

Piraeus Bank has launched a dedicated AI Hub in collaboration with Accenture and Anthropic, according to a press release. The initiative aims to centralize the bank’s artificial intelligence capabilities and accelerate its transformation across the entire organization.

The AI Hub will serve as a core platform for designing, developing, and scaling advanced AI systems across Piraeus’ operations. It will focus on enhancing customer experience, risk management, compliance, and overall operational efficiency. The project combines Accenture’s Data and AI expertise, including resources from its Center of Excellence in Athens, with Piraeus’ strategic roadmap for AI adoption.

As part of the initiative, Piraeus will expand its internal AI skills by recruiting specialized talent and offering structured learning programs through Udacity, Accenture’s AI learning platform. The collaboration also emphasizes the creation of secure and responsible AI solutions aligned with regulatory standards, using Anthropic’s AI models and platforms.

The AI Hub builds on Piraeus’ previous partnership with Accenture to adopt a cloud first architecture on Microsoft Azure, supporting the bank’s broader modernization and digital transformation goals.
